SoftBank Vision Fund invested $940 million in Nuro, a Mountain View, California company that develops small self-driving vehicles for delivering goods. The Vision Fund was the only investor in the round. Refinitiv lists the deal at ¥103.1 billion.
Why it matters
The round, with the Vision Fund as the only investor, showed the Vision Fund putting large sums into self-driving technology alongside its investments in ride-hailing companies.
