SoftBank Group's Vision Fund and the Qatar Investment Authority co-led a $400 million Series F round in Compass, a New York real estate brokerage, at a valuation of $4.4 billion. SoftBank had invested $450 million in Compass in December 2017.
Why it matters
The follow-on round deepened SoftBank's commitment to Compass as the brokerage expanded quickly across US cities.
