Pole To Win, a Japanese provider of game testing and support, bought the co-development business of Ghostpunch Games, a South Florida studio founded in 2015 that does engineering, design, art and animation for big game publishers such as EA, Gearbox, Bethesda and 2K. The all-cash price was $13.15 million. The business had about ¥990 million in sales. The studio Ghostpunch had more than 60 staff working on games for every major platform. PTW chief executive Deborah Kirkham said it kept more than 90% of its clients. Executive producer Hugh Falk became head of PTW's new Fort Lauderdale site. PTW's plan PTW said it would offer clients AI-based test automation and would combine its own AI art tools with Ghostpunch's art work to sell generative art services.
