Osaka Gas, through its US unit OG East Texas, bought 35% of Sabine Oil & Gas's working interest in Haynesville and Cotton Valley gas properties in Harrison and Panola counties, East Texas. Reports put the price at about $145 million. Osaka Gas bought all of Sabine in 2019.
Why it matters
The stake gave Osaka Gas its own US shale gas production and led to its full purchase of Sabine a year later.
