ORIX Corporation USA bought NXT Capital, a Chicago-based lender and asset manager for middle-market companies, from Stone Point Capital. The companies did not disclose terms, and The Japan Times reported the price at over ¥100 billion (about $900 million).
Why it matters
The deal added a direct lending and loan management platform to ORIX's US business.
