Golf Digest Online bought a further 51.9% of GolfTEC Enterprises, a Colorado-based golf lesson company, for about ¥2,133 million including advisory fees. Its stake rose from 8.1% to 60.0%, and it aimed to own all of GolfTEC later.
Why it matters
Control of GolfTEC gave the Japanese golf portal a lesson business in the US, the world's largest golf market.
