Stanley Martin Homes, Daiwa House's US homebuilding arm, agreed to acquire Holiday Builders, a Florida builder that closed about 1,050 homes in 2025 and ranks No. 62 among US homebuilders. The deal adds about 10,600 controlled lots and more than 40 communities across markets including Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers-Naples and the Panhandle. The price was not disclosed. The deal Stanley Martin Homes bought all the shares of Holiday Builders, Inc., which became its wholly owned subsidiary. Daiwa House said the purchase was completed on July 29, 2026, US time (July 30 in Japan), about two weeks after the July 16 announcement. Neither side disclosed the price. Zelman Partners acted as exclusive financial adviser to Holiday Builders, according to HousingWire. About Holiday Builders Holiday Builders is based in Melbourne, Florida, on the state's Atlantic coast, and has been building homes since 1983. It is led by President and CEO Bruce Assam. Besides Orlando, Tampa Bay, Fort Myers-Naples and the Northwest Panhandle, it is active in the St. Augustine to Palm Coast corridor, the coastal stretch from Titusville to Port St. Lucie, and the Ocala-Citrus County area. Strategy Stanley Martin's Florida business had been limited to the Orlando and Tampa markets. It had earlier bought Avex Homes, a Central Florida builder. CEO Steve Alloy described the deal as a step to strengthen the company's presence across the state and tied it to wider housing availability and affordability. Daiwa House said Stanley Martin has bought six single-family businesses or stakes since 2017 and now operates in 17 areas across seven states. Earlier in 2026, Stanley Martin took Nasdaq-listed United Homes Group, a Carolinas builder, private in an all-cash deal of about $221 million that was announced in February and completed in May. Daiwa House's three US builders (Stanley Martin, CastleRock and Trumark) set a goal in October 2025 of raising annual single-family deliveries from 7,095 in 2024 to more than 10,000 by 2026.
